In short
You pay Paddle.com Market Ltd., not ExtHive directly. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, tax is added at checkout based on your country, and you can cancel in one click from the portal linked in every receipt.
01Who you are paying
Paddle.com Market Ltd. is the Merchant of Record and authorised reseller for all ExtHive purchases.
Judd House, 18-29 Mora Street, London, EC1V 8BT, United Kingdom
In practice this means Paddle is the seller of record on your invoice, handles the payment, calculates and remits sales tax, VAT and GST for your jurisdiction, and manages your subscription lifecycle. Your bank or card statement will show a Paddle descriptor rather than ExtHive.
ExtHive never receives or stores your full card number. We see the transaction outcome, the last four digits and your billing country — no more.
02Plans and billing periods
Paid plans are offered on a monthly or annual basis. Annual billing is charged once for twelve months at a discount to the monthly rate; current prices are on the pricing page.
Team plans are billed per seat with a three-seat minimum. Adding a seat mid-term is charged pro rata for the remainder of the term; removing a seat takes effect at the next renewal.
All prices are listed in USD and exclude tax. Paddle can charge you in your local currency, at a rate it sets and shows before you confirm.
03Automatic renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, until cancelled. This keeps your paid features running without interruption.
We send a reminder email before every annual renewal. Monthly renewals are not individually reminded, but every payment produces a receipt.
If we increase the price of a plan you are on, we will tell you at least 30 days before it applies to your renewal, so you can cancel first if you would rather not continue.
04Tax, VAT and invoices
Listed prices exclude tax. Paddle determines the correct sales tax, VAT or GST from your billing country and displays it at checkout before you confirm. You will never be charged an amount you were not shown.
Business customers can enter a VAT or tax registration number at checkout. Where reverse charge applies, VAT is removed automatically.
Every payment produces an invoice you can download from the billing portal. If you need a company name, address or tax number added to an invoice already issued, email billing@exthive.com and we will have it reissued.
05Accepted payment methods
Paddle accepts, depending on your country:
- Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover
- PayPal
- Apple Pay and Google Pay
- Local methods including SEPA Direct Debit, iDEAL, Bancontact and others
- Wire transfer for annual Team invoices above a threshold — ask us
06Upgrades, downgrades and plan changes
Upgrading takes effect immediately. You are charged a pro-rata amount for the remainder of the current period, and the new rate applies from the next renewal.
Downgrading takes effect at the end of the current period. You keep the higher tier until then, because you have already paid for it.
Switching monthly to annual credits the unused part of the current month against the annual price. Switching annual to monthly applies at the end of the annual term.
Downgrading never deletes data. Prompt Guard keeps your settings, custom detectors and logs on your device; they simply become inactive until you upgrade again.
07Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, Paddle retries over several days and emails you each time. Your subscription stays active during this window — a failed card does not lock you out on the same day.
If payment has not succeeded after the retry period, the subscription is cancelled and the extension reverts to the Free plan. Nothing is deleted, and resubscribing restores your previous state.
08Cancelling
Cancel at any time from the billing portal linked in every receipt, or by emailing billing@exthive.com. There is no retention flow and no requirement to explain yourself.
Cancelling stops future charges. Your plan remains fully active until the end of the period you have already paid for, then drops to Free. For refunds of a charge already taken, see the Refund Policy.
09Billing questions and disputes
If a charge looks wrong, email billing@exthive.com with the date and the last four digits of the card. We can usually resolve it the same day — considerably faster than a bank dispute, which also risks the associated licence being suspended while it is investigated.
